Istanbul will be the metropolis of the world! Istanbul is taking an important status in the world. The mayor of Istanbul, Mr. Kadeer Tobas, has said that by 2019, eleven million people will be able to use railway system, which will reduce traffic in Istanbul to a minimum. The municipality of Istanbul will embark new projects for the subway in Sultan Bey and Bahcesehir areas. Moreover, a new park will be established on a 700,000 square meter area in Jinderi. Also, a new center for science and technology, and another for innovation will be erected in the Golden Horn area. Environment and transportation will be the biggest investment in Istanbul. Large basins which accommodate 23 million cubic meters of water were prepared. A billion dollars were allotted for environment protection. Mr. Tobas added, "We're very close to the city of metro, which is our objective. Two million people will be able to use the railway system by the end of 2014.
A shortcut bridge on Izmit Gulf will decrease the travel time by 3.5 hours. This bridge is 2682 meters long. It's part of a larger project between Istanbul and Borsa. The work should be completed by the middle of 2015. "Once finished, the ferries will need only 45 minutes to cross," says Mr. Ismael Kartal, the regional director of highways. The number of laborers of earth moving machines is increasing everyday in order to finish this bridge faster. In the meantime, there are 4500 laborers and 500 earth moving machines. Mr. Kartal added that the daily cost of the bridge goes up to $2.5 million. "It's a substantial project for the Turkish Republic." Such projects usually take about five years to be accomplished, but in Turkey, this project will take only three years. According to the package deal, the charge of using the bridge will be $35, add another five cents for each extra kilometer. A ninety kilometer rout usually takes one and a half hour, but the bridge is finished, a twelve kilometer trip will take only six minutes.
What's the difference between Turkey and other countries? Turkey has all the reasons of life, namely rivers, seas, mountains, prairies and climate diversity. Thus, there are fish, livestock, poultry, minerals, gold and fresh water. Turkey has a spectacular and strategic location. It overlooks the Arab countries which rely on Turkey for many reasons. Arab investors are aiming at residence buildings overlooking the bodies of water around the Bosphorus strait in Istanbul. Arab investors have been given the opportunity to get a residence in and around Bosphorus strait. Mr. Karmazitaz, sales consultant at Remax Co., has said that one hundred Arab investors are aspiring to get a one hundred residences around the Bosphorus strait. Since Turkey wasn't affected by the world crisis, Arab investors have found their way to Turkey. Reciprocity law is effective in Turkey. So the Arab investors have started looking for residences in Turkey. Their search centers around Bikoz and Tshamlija areas. There's a competition amongst the Arab businessmen to make big investments in an attractive Turkey. And that's because of Turkey's stable and strong economy. Each year, Arab investors buy around $ 3.5 billion of residence buildings. Their concentration wasn't only on public sector, but also on private sector as well, where it got the attention of the most Arabian Gulf people.
Many companies, especially the Saudi ones, are making endeavors to own (or participate in owning) hotel rooms for a period of time between one week to two months where they can rent them. The Arab people have chosen Turkey to do this because of its social structure and climate. Carderili Group has tried this system (participating in owning). They invested $75 millions in Termal Palace with 200 beds in Yalova. Then a Saudi company offered to buy that palace, but the Carderili Group rejected the offer. At the same time, they started selling real estates for a period of time. Now the group has 40,000 agents with many Arab people amongst them. The coordinator of Carderili Group has mentioned that with only 180 Euros, you can own a real estate for a week. The prices of owning for a period of time are between 10,000 and 69,000 Turkish liras. And 30 % of that was bought by Arab investors. The buyers, through this system, can enjoy their vacations in 4,500 spots in 100 countries. That's why they used to pay 180 Euros to live abroad.
